Irene Hayward and Chris Platt are the owners of Canterbury Trails Christchurch. Their decision to purchase Canterbury Trails in the past decade came on the back of worldwide travel in their cruising yacht ” Cuttyhunk “. On returning to New Zealand they realised how much they appreciated the personal touch to travelling.
Irene and Chris are both passionate about New Zealand, especially Christchurch and the South Island. They’re keen to build a philosophy of "doing more than just pick up and delivery, rather focusing on making the in between a journey to remember".
From those first trips in an old van to a bespoke fully appointed luxury vehicle fleet, modern day Canterbury Trails is the perfect option for your one day and longer trips around Christchurch, Canterbury, the South Island and beyond.
