Firefighters were called to a second suspicious blaze in less than a week at a Christchurch Bottle Lake Forest Park about 10.50am on forest park on Friday.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Andrew Norris said a crew took about 20min to put out a scrub near Aston Drive.
Mr Norris said police were at the scene and the blaze is being treated as suspicious. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
It comes after another blaze at the forest on Wednesday, which took 10 fire crews and a helicopter to put out.
Police speak to youths in relation to fire
Two youths have been spoken to by police in relation to a suspicious scrub fire at Bottle Lake Forest Park in Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the blaze near Lima Rd about 1.30pm on Wednesday.
Ten fire crews and a helicopter were needed to put the blaze out.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Brent Dunn said firefighters "surrounded and contained" the fire within about an hour.
Bottle Lake Forest Park is predominantly a pine plantation which offers a myriad of tracks for mountain-biking, horse-riding, and walking.
