Another good walking area at an easy level.

Ngā Puna Loop Walk Christchurch

Starting off at the carpark on MacFarlane Ave inside Canterbury Agricultural Park (A&P Show location) along with Ngā Puna Wai which is home to the new Christchurch athletics and sporting facility, replacing what used to be at QEII.

The walk itself is a short one around 1km taking you on the outskirts of the native wetland plants around the Nga Puna Wai lake. 
Part of the track is a boardwalk on the western side of the loop.

Another short walk at 1.9 km starting from the carpark off Augustine Drive and follow the path that leads into the small native forest.
Use any of the several connecting tracks to create a loop with the track next to the creek.
The second part of the walk takes you through open fields and onto a shared cycle path on Curletts Rd.

Dogs are allowed under control and Shared use for both of these Christchurch walks.
