New Zealand government’s attitude is to discourage people using vehicles to go to the Christchurch public hospital.
Showing a complete lack of understanding or empathy as to some people's capacity to take public transport or wait for a shuttle with significant entry issues for people who are unstable on their feet.

After years of putting up with unsatisfactory parking conditions at the Christchurch public hospital there is still no resolution in site.
If it wasn’t for the volunteers helping out at the drop off zone at the front entrance things would be a lot worse, it already looks like a 3rd world country an embarrassment to the city that we can't care for our sick, elderly or injured.
A worker at the hospital says it will only get worse as a privately operated shuttle which shuttled hundreds of people has stopped operating due to increased costs.
James Gough said on ZB Chris Lynch radio show, people who are sick with serious illnesses are huddling in a cold damp car park building waiting for a shuttle and hoping that they will get a seat.
Is this good enough?
