In the unlikely event the Scooter doesn’t lock.
- Check if you have locked the vehicle correctly. Once locked, you will hear a tone.
- Wait at least one minute for the ride to finish processing after locking the vehicle.
- Phone has a flat battery.
- Check whether your phone has good cellular data and/or Wi-Fi connection
- Try closing and restarting the app
If none of the above suggestions resolves the issue or you just forgot, then you will need to submit a request to customer service to claim a refund.

Before you go looking for a scooter:
- Download the app.
- Install on your phone.
- Load your credit card details onto the app.
Your phone is ready to go let’s find a ride Lime.
- Open the app and once it picks up your location it will display where the scooters are.
- You can zoom in or out as you normally do with pictures on your phone.
- It will also show the battery charge remaining on the.
- You can drop a pin on one to see how far away it is or zoom to see the street name
- Make your way to the one you want “at this stage you can’t reserve the scooter so be quick if there is only one”.
- Tip, screen shows in red where you cant ride a Lime Scooter in the case the Notanic Gardens.
Found your scooter now activate Lime
- Look at the app screen there is a scan button at the bottom.
- Press the scan button and hold the phone over the QR code on the handle bars of the scooter.
- Your camera will turn on use this to scan the QR code there is a red line you need to hold over the code. If this doesn’t work you can manually enter the 6-digit vehicle code located beneath the QR code.
- Once it registers the app will activate the scooter you will hear short musical tone letting you know it is ready.
- When you hear that the scooter is ready to go, put your phone away leave the app running "don’t turn the phone off either" you will need it to finish the ride.
- The screen on the center of the handle bars will show the speed and battery level.
- On the right hand side is the accelerator tab that you push down with your thumb.
- On the left is the brake.
Heading Off
- Put the kick stand up
- Place one foot on the scooter to give yourself a push start to get going then accelerator and place the other foot on the scooter.
- You’re away laughing
- Remember left is the brake
- Slow down for bumps there is no suspension "remember be safe"
Ending Your Ride
- !! Important parts when you have finished your ride stop fully put the kick stand down
- Open the app if it closed press End Ride wait for the tone from the scooter.
Note above end ride there is a pause ride as well. You can pause your ride so that another person cannot use your vehicle. Please note also that you will continue to be charged per minute while your ride is paused.
